ABOUT MIMIS

Hi my name is Emma Victoria Oltjenbruns! I’m so thankful you’ve stumbled across my little corner of the internet! Let me take you back to where ‘MIMIS BOUTIQUE’ started.

From a very young age, I dreamed of having a boutique of my own some day. I’ve always had a passion for putting fun outfits together, and shopping of course. But I had a dream to create a boutique with a unique purpose. 

Shortly after getting married in 2022, I started actively perusing this dream of mine. The Lord quickly put the name ‘MIMIS’ on my heart for this Boutique. But Mimi’s isn’t just any name. It’s a name that has so much meaning behind it.

Growing up, my Mimi was so much more to me than a Grandmother. Her and I had a special bond that was unshakable and unexplainable. I would spend every moment I had with her, from being a child, to teenage years, and young adult years. She was there through all the seasons with me. Through all of those seasons of life, she taught us all to cling to our unshakable God. Mimi exemplified love and strength in all she did. She always shared the JOY of knowing Christ and magnifying HIM in all she did. 

On September 9th, 2023 MIMI was called to her forever home. With shattered hearts, we were shocked, confused, even angry at times. Although our hearts ached terribly, we knew she was HOME. "Weeping may last for a night, but JOY comes in the morning." -This was Mimis favorite verse. Little did we know, we would cling to that verse like never before. 

Weeks after being called HOME, Mimi brought me signs to show that she was  near. One of those signs, was a butterfly. Butterfly’s surrounded me everyday, it seemed. I couldn’t leave my home without a butterfly following. This was also a sign to me to incorporate butterflies into this boutique. 

By this point, I was ready to actively pursue “MIMIS BOUTIQUE”, with a mission to provide effortless pieces that make women feel beautiful while sharing the JOY of knowing Christ. Creating a business is such a Leap of faith, but I was ready to put my Faith to the test. Just as we delight in the beauty of a butterfly, we often don’t see the changes it’s gone through to achieve that beauty. Change may be hard, but it is also beautiful.

My hope and prayer for this business is that you find pieces that make you feel confident & beautiful, but above all, that you would find the JOY of knowing Christ.
